Expansion of a statement for definition of draughts
1. T, is the summer load line draugth for the ship in operation, measured from the moulded base line at amidships. Note this may be less than the maximum permissible summer load waterline draught.
2. Tfull, the full load design draught, is the draugt at departure given for the homogeneous full load condition in the loading manual, measured from the moulded base line at midships.
3. Tsc, is the maximum design draught, at which the strength requirements for the scantlings of the ship are met.
ships moulded displacement, corresponding to the underwater volume of the ship, at draught Tsc.
DWT, is the deadweight of the ship, floating in water with a specific gravity of 1.025, at the summer load line draught.
Fatigue analyses are to be carried out for full load condition at design draught (Tfull) at departure, according to the intended ship's operation.
Conclusion: Design draugt is indispensable to the fatigue analysis, in generally, a smaller design draught which was adopted in the ship's design but we can't rule out the possibility that the design draugtht and scantling draught are same.
If someone who has any opinion, please advice. |
