关于阀门真心求教

Stop valves should be fitted in any crossover provided and in the fire main or mains at the poop
front and at intervals of not more than 40 m between hydrants on the deck in the cargo area for the purpose
of isolating damaged sections of the main.
这是规范上的一句话，大概明白意思。但对 stop valve 这句话有些不懂啊，CCS翻译是截止阀，但个人觉得有问题，截止阀英文翻译我见过 shut down 、screw down ，海工里使用globe，这里的stop valve 指截止阀是不是欠妥？是不是应该理解成关断阀门？并不仅仅局限截止阀？
求大神指教。
