I have checked the JBP rules, but only found that Ch 11, Sc 2, 1.4 saying as belows.
1.4 Documentation to be submitted
1.4.1
The welding application plan to be submitted for approval has to contain the necessary data relevant to the
fabrication by welding of the structures, kinds of welding procedure applied, welding position, etc.
1.4.2
The NDE plan to be submitted for approval has to contain the necessary data relevant to the locations and
number of examinations, welding procedure(s) applied, method of NDE applied, etc.
It doesn't clearly point out that NDE plan should be submitted for PLAN approval, but just for approval.
NDE plan, which is agreed between Class and Shipyard, should be submitted to local surveyors for approval, but not PA surveyors.
However, there might be some other interpretations about NDE plan submitting. If you get the answer, plz inform us.
