上面说的很清楚：counter shaft就是intermediate shaft, 特别的intermediate shaft

1.an intermediate shaft that transmits motion from the main shaft of a machine to a working part
2. From the "Dictionary of Mechanical Engineering"; 4th Edition by G.H.F Nayler (available from SAE):

countershaft An intermediate shaft in a line of shafting placed between a driving and driven shaft to obtain a greater speed-ratio or where direct connection is difficult.
