the design draft is a drfat, usd for evaluate if the designed ship is an optimized design, it is a draft between the ballast draft and the scantling draft(load draft is more accurate) . No formula for this draft, it is determined by ship owner with his experience.
You know a ship does not always run at loade draft, also not at ballast draft, so a design draft is used to evaluate the ship's design. |
