ABS MODU中：Effective width of plating not exceeding one-half the sum of spacing on each side of the member or 33% of the unsupported span l, whichever is less.
ABS Buckling and Ultimate Strength Assessment中：A buckling check of plate panels is
necessary when establishing the attached plating width for stiffened panels. If the plating does not buckle, the full width is to be used. Otherwise, the effective width is to be applied if the plating buckles but does not fail. |
