Name of project: Special project of Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Co., Ltd (hereinafter called “DSIC”) for the development of heavy industrial equipment with high entry level, of pioneering nature

Development strategies and major fields in heavy industrial equipment
The development strategies:
To seek heavy industrial products which is closely related or complementary to the core technology possessed by DSIC and which have the following characteristics:
With a market that is orderly and well regulated; with high threshold for market entry, imposing strict requirements on enterprise participating; with enormous market potential, high value added; of high technology and high grades, the products or their technology being domestically and internationally advanced.
In view of the above, the major product fields in which DSIC is planning to invite investment include but not limited to the following:
1.
New Energy equipment industry field: generating equipment for the nuclear power stations;
2.
Large accessorory equipment for the offshore equipment;
3.
Large land-use pressure vessels and tanks;
4.
Large industrial equipment: e.g. large lifting equipment, Petrochemical industry equipment, metallurgical machinery, equipment for cement and mining industry;
5.
New Energy equipment industry field: equipment for wind power station
6.
Large steel structures for steel structure building, large bridge structure and large vertical three-dimension parking depots;
III. The favorable condition for DSIC to develop the special project of heavy industrial equipment
Firstly, DSIC enjoys the policies’ support for its heavy industrial development obtained from the different level of governments such as the State, province and municipality etc. The Chinese Government has rolled out a two-year program involving a total investment of RMB 4 trillion to promote domestic demand which will form market for major fields. Secondly, DSIC has peculiar superiorities in development of heavy industry. —— A. prestige As the first class enterprise in the world the DSIC’s prestige and referent power in China and world have created the condition to develop heavy industrial equipment.—— B. management expertise Through production in shipbuilding, military project and offshore equipment, DSIC has established a complete management system for general assembly and project management and is capable of integrating large complex electromechanical equipment and systems so that a concrete management foundation is made for development of heavy industrial equipment. ——C. technical expertise DSIC possesses a fairly strong ability dealing with sales and marketing, design, purchase, fabrication, manufacturing and assembling of large steel structure so as to offer a technical guarantee for heavy industrial equipment development. ——D. rich experience DSIC parent company and its subsidiaries have completed various kinds of heavy industrial project so lots of experiences have been accumulated. ——E. investment resources aggregate economic volume of DSIC has fast increased and economic capability has greatly improved and possesses a large investment capability, which makes solid economic foundation for development of heavy industrial equipment. ——F. facilities at its disposal
Located at Lv Shun, Dalian, Dalian Bay and Xianglujiao area , Dalian, the production bases of DSIC have at its disposal complete facilities in operation.
Meanwhile a new construction base with an area of 500,000 m2 for heavy industrial project has been planned and built within Chang Xing Dao Island Harbor Industry Park, which supply a powerful resource guarantee for development of heavy industrial project.
