Korean-owned China-based shipbuilder Samjin Shipbuilding Industries penned for four additional newbuilding handysize bulkers from Bocimar of Belgium.
Now Samjin has a total of ten eco-design handy newbuildings for Bocimar on order, which extends deliveries by December 2015.
When Bocimar awarded the firm deal of six units in 2011, it said the contract was "very competitive terms", however, it refused to reveal the prices. Sources prospect it would cost between $22m and $23m per ship.
Meanwhile, in 2012 Samjin also contracted 2+2 36,000-dwt bulkers with Oldendorff Carriers of Germany and one plus one 36,000-dwt bulker with Danish owner Ultrabulk.
