Japan Marine United, newly established in January of this year, is said to have booked orders for four capesize bulkers from Greek owners.
Oceanbulk Marine and Carras Hellas have reportedly penned overall four 180,000-dwt vessels at the Japanese company, with no price revealed.
According to Clarkson, price of newbuilding capesize bulker is around $46m apiece, while JMU is estimated to have offered higher prices than this.
JMU, newly-formed company after the merger of IHI Marine United and Universal Shipbuilding, has contracted three kamsarmax bulkers from Norwegian owner KGJS in earlier of 2013 and seems to push forward winning mid-to-large bulker orders.
