Hung Hao International Limited has great pleasure in announcing the signing of significant contracts for the Design, Build and delivery of One Floating Dock and Six 100-Passenger Car Carrying Ro-Ro Ferries for the government of the Union of the Comoros.
The Floating Dock has a platform witha 120 metres long and 34 metres wide footprint and will be capable of handling ships up to 6,000 tonnes weight. The Six Ferries, commonly referred as Landing Craft, will be of modern cutting edge design capable of carrying 100passengers together with personal goods at 25 Knots speed that can carry up to 30 vehicles in different combinations including fully loaded container trucks.
Mr Esam Al Fahim, Chairman of HSS Holding, as representative for the government of the Union of the Comoros and GaoQiang, Jacky President of Hung Hao International Limited signed these significant contracts on 16 July 2011.
The Floating Dock will greatly assist in providing for Comoros a much needed maintenance base for the country’s marine fleet.The six landing craft will be the beginning of a new era for the country in terms of linking the four Comoros islands with an essential public transportation link, thus bringing the country’s population closer.
The contracts are for completion by early 2013, for commencing operation in Comoros by mid-year 2013. |
