Need Structural lead engineer, potential department head
Our client is currently looking for a Senior Structural Engineer with offshore experience.
Besides being responsible for the engineering of offshore steel structures, you are also expected to be able to support other, less experienced, structural engineers.
Requirements:
5-10 years experience in a similar position in a offshore environment;
experience with ANSYS and SACS and/or similar software;
at least a BSc. degree in Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering;
speaking and writing English and preferably Dutch;

We alreay have several CV’s of managers of departments who actually don’t do the designs themselves anymore …. What our customer wants is a good lead engineer who is able to do the work himself and who can train the more junior department members. He must be the best of his department because he should be the “authority” of the engineering and design in his department. He has the final responsibility for the design.
The salary and benefits would be around as below:
- Starting Gross Salary EUR 5000 per month, this will be net ~3800.Excellent candidates could be up to 6000EUR
- You pay for your own housing: minimum 500 per month; We help you find a house and negotiate a good price and contract.
- Health insurance is arranged by the law in Holland. You will pay approximately EUR 100 per month per family member.
- 24 leave days per year, Holland public holidays also free.
- You will work 1 year for us who will rent your services to the customer (probation period). After one year the customer can give you a permanent contract.
- We will arrange and pay for all the permits, travel documents, assist with the housing contract, you don’t have to worry about that,
- Your air ticket will be paid by us but withhold the costs from your salary if you decide to cancel the contract prematurely.
- We advise that your wife will accompany you when you and our customer feel comfortable that you are the right person for the job. This will be between 3 – 9 months.
