1.Electrical Engineer
Grontmij | Carl Bro’s Industry, Marine & Environment Division carries out projects in the sectors chemical and petrochemical, oil and gas, energy production and energy distribution and the steel industry.
We wish to add further knowledge and capabilities to the division, wherefore we are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer.
After an introductory period of 1-2 months at our Head Office in Denmark, our new team member will work at our Shanghai office and occasionally on site in Jiangsu and Zhejiang, at the client’s premises
Background:
·
Electrical Engineer with minimum 5 years experience from Shipyard, Marine Service Engineer or
similar background.
·
About the Job:
·
Working as Electrical Engineer on our Gas Carrier Project for a Norwegian Client.
·
Optimise energy consumption in relation to marine and industry productions
·
Independently analyze and solve relevant electrical issues; Familiarize with related international class, codes and standards, and design accordingly.
·
Go on site and supervise installation and commissioning.
·
Conduct training and communicate electrical issues for colleagues, clients and contractors
·
Go on site and work as Electrical Engineer as part of the client’s project organisation.
·
Interest to understand and perform electrical systems, analysis and other relevant disciplines.
·
Perform electrical and PDMS modelling of reliquefaction plants, process plants, boilers, related auxiliary equipment, structural steel, piping, electrical, and instrumentation
·
AutoCAD Drafting on boiler I/C and electrical diagrams and related drawings including P&ID and other drawings.
·
Make instruction manual in English and Chinese.
·
Other associated design and engineering works assigned by the Project Manager.
Personal qualifications:
·
Well qualified in all area of electrical engineering.
·
Good level in English - written and spoken
·
Cooperate with other Electrical Engineers in the project team.
·
Can take initiative and solve job tasks independently.
·
Willingness to work at client’s premises.
·
Service minded and open minded
·
Willing to work in Europe from time to time
·

You are:
- Marine Engineer – M.Sc or B.Sc in Mechanical Engineering
- Efficient and fluent in English
- Outgoing and open-minded

- Capable of working with different projects at the same time
You have:
- Min. 5 years Experience from shipyard, design house, classification society or similar
- Experience with all machinery / outfitting arrangements and piping systems onboard merchant cargo vessels
- Experience with technical negotiations
- Experience with AutoCad as drawing system
- Experience with Microsoft Office Programs
Occasionally you will have to participate in sales meetings and domestic and abroad travel to be expected.
