We are anticipating an increase in demand for our services and expertise within Mobile offshore units and we are looking for a specialist to strengthen our structural analysis capabilities. This senior person will be part of an international team covering the entire Great China offshore market; and together with the DNV international organization in various regi***, will drive and support various international client. SENIOR OFFSHORE ENGINEER, DNV CHINA MARITIME, SHANGHAI APPROVAL CENTER Resp***ibilities - Carry out structural plan approval of Mobile Offshore Units - Have an understating of FEA and capable of using FEA analysis tools - Have an understanding of Dynamic Loads on offshore structures - Be familiar with DNV Offshore Structural Codes and preferably other Structural Codes (e.g, API) - Provide technical support and pre contract services to internal and external clients - Verify and check the work of other approval engineers as applicable - Coach junior approval engineers Qualificati*** - Bachelor or Master degree within naval architecture or structural engineering - Minimum 5 years’ relevant engineer experience - Good understanding of offshore hull structures - Experience from Finite Element analysis is an advantage - Good command of oral and written English Looking forward!
