The company
A specialist in commercial and yacht design who work from concept through to plan approval. They are thoroughly dedicated to forming unique and fully bespoke designs for their clients. Due to the current stage of expansion and work load they need to develop their existing team. They have a friendly office atmosphere and to succeed in this company you need to have a strong personal work ethic and drive.
The role
You will be working as a senior member of a highly motivated and specialist design team.
You will be the leading authority on the design for marine systems and configuration of gas turbine and diesel systems to be implemented on the specialist vessels designed by our client. You will be expected to undertake fluid flow calculations and analyse noise and vibrations within given limits. At times you will be managing small teams of draftsmen to assist you.
The person
The right candidate for this role will have experience in the design of marine systems to an expert level therefore also being a chartered engineer. You must have a degree or HND in marine engineering and have knowledge of fast speed medium speed diesel engines as well as gas turbines. Knowledge of class standards is essential!
