Naval Architects/Structural Engineers
Main Responsibilities:
To perform plan appraisal in accordance with ABS Rules & Regulations, relevant statutory Regulations, all applicable codes, conventions and standards, for new construction and existing ship projects.
Requirements: Have a good university degree (Bachelor or above) in Naval Architecture, Shipbuilding, Ocean-Engineering or Structural Engineering Minimum 3 years working experience in a position of responsibility in the shipbuilding industry and have been involved in hull structural designs and calculations Be able to review/appraise design plans of ship, drilling units and marine structures for meeting applicable Rules/Regulations/Codes(e.g. SOLAS, MARPOL, IMO MODU Code, API-RP-2A,etc) Be able to carry out structural strength/fatigue assessment by FEM analysis is an advantage - Have good command of written and verbal English
Machinery/Process Engineers
Main Responsibilities:
To perform plan appraisal in accordance with ABS Rules & Regulations, relevant statutory Regulations, all applicable codes, conventions and standards, for new construction and existing ship projects.
Requirements: Have a good university degree (Bachelor or above) in Marine, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering Minimum 3 years working experience in a position of responsibility in the shipyards, offshore construction firms,engineering consultants or design offices is an advantage Be able to perform engineering review of plans for process facilities or shipboard machinery and systems for compliance with applicable Rules, IMO Regulations, Government Regulations, Industrial Code & Standards - Have good command of written and verbal English
