MARINE DEPARTMENT

The Marine Department is based in Denmark with offices in Copenhagen and Odense and an office in Shanghai. It is important for us to be close to the European ship owners as well as close to the ship building industry in Asia.

We have followed the industry and today our ship designs are contracted to ship yards in primarily China, Vietnam and India. Our objective is to make ship design and services of high quality reflecting the needs and demands of the market.

We strive to establish partnership with ship owners, yards, classification societies, equipment suppliers and authorities.

We have designed almost all types of ships and we cover all aspects of modern ship design, including general ship design, structural design, stability and safety aspects, hull and propulsion optimisation, machinery, vibration and noise analyses, etc. in accordance with classification rules and IMO requirements.

Our focus is:

• Generation of ideas

• Conceptual design

• Outline design and Building specification

• Basic design

• Design and engineering services for conversion / existing ships

We have recently successfully developed Bulk Carrier designs e.g. DIAMOND vessels, Gas & Chemical carriers and Multi Purpose Container designs.

Furthermore, we are continuously involved in conversion projects including offshore Supply/Support vessels, FPSO, Car carriers, Ro-Ro vessels and updating existing ships in accordance with new demands and/or requirements.

Our experienced staff does also carry out various site surveys e.g. inclining experiments, lightweight surveys, damage surveys, thickness measurements etc.

We are currently hiring experienced Naval Architects with solid experience and excellent communication skills to join our Shanghai Design Team.

You are:

Naval Architect with University Degree M.Sc or B.Sc Familiar with major players in the Marine Business and preferably with strong professional network A team player but also capable of solving tasks individually.
• Outgoing and open-minded
  

You have:

Minimum 5 to 10 years Experience from shipyard, design house, classification society or similar Experience with all major areas of Naval architecture
Competent knowledge of Class Rules and International Regulation Solid Experience with Ship Design Knowledge of Class Rule Calculation Software Experience with AutoCad Experience with Microsoft Office Programs
• Good English communication skills
