Position: ABS Shanghai Technical Office –Plan Review Engineer (Machinery)
Position Description:
· Performs detailed engineering review of machinery plans, including piping and shafting system and equipment, for compliance with applicable Rules,
Regulations and contract commitments.
· Proposes technical advice to field operations and other technical offices.
· Performs work, which involves conventional engineering practices but may include moderately complex problems such as the resolution of conflicting
design requirements, material standards or coordination of activities among other disciplines.
· Proposes new approaches to problems encountered and makes recommendations for changes in methods, procedures or designs.
· Works directly with clients to identify and resolve problems in the area of technical expertise.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
· B.S. degree in Marine or Mechanical
· Good command of written and verbal English (CET6)
· Ability to work well with others.
· Preferably have some working experience with shipyard, shipping lines, engineering consultants or design office
