可能是SMIT SUBSEA 的水下机器人，配合带DP系统的平台供应船，用于检查海底输油管路是否泄漏，或检查海底电缆，我在阿联酋的时候见过，会烧焊固定在平台供应船的甲板上。

ROV，即水下机器人（remote operated vehicle ）,有时为了区别于地面和空中的ROV(remote control vehicles),又将海洋中所用的ROV称为Remotely Oerated Underwater Vehicle。系统组成包括：动力推进器、遥控电子通讯装置、 ROV
彩色摄像头、摄像俯仰云台、用户外围传感器接口、实时在线显示单元、导航定位装置、自动舵手导航单元、辅助照明灯和凯夫拉零浮力拖缆等单元部件。功能多种多样，不同类型的ROV用于执行不同的任务，被广泛应用于军队、海岸警卫、海事、海关、核电、水电、海洋石油、渔业、海上救助、管线探测和海洋科学研究等各个领域。

Schilling Robotics, LLC, experts in subsea systems, announced today the order for two (2) Heavy-Duty,M (HD’”) ROV systems from maritime operator SMIT. The HD,W systems will be rated for 4,000m and will be supplied with tether management systems (TMS), control vans, and launch and recovery systems (LARS). SMIT will install the HD,M ROV systems onboard their subsea diving support vessels in support of the company’s expanding global subsea operations. The systems will be delivered first quarter of 2012.
