石棉含纤维状物质，扬在空气中难以过滤，人吸入后易产生肺部病变，所以现在造船都不能用石棉了。

solas-chapterⅡ-1 reg.3-5
2. For all ships, new installation of materials which contain asbestos shall be prohibited except for:
.1. vanes used in rotary vane compressors and rotary vane vacuum pumps;

.2. watertight joints and linings used for the circulation of fluids when, at high temperature (in excess of 350°C) or pressure (in excess of 7 × 106 Pa), there is a risk of fire, corrosion or toxicity; and

.3. supple and flexible thermal insulation assemblies used for temperatures above 1000°

现在还有很多阀门厂在阀杆填料上用的都是石棉，中道那里用的都是含水量有红纸板的垫片，那这样按规定是要将所有的填料及垫片换掉哦，好像在中国船级社CCS还有没有提到这方面的要求

根据经验，我发现现场有胆敢使用石棉的直接通知船厂停止报验，停工。
08年在大连搞了一次。

现在有的船级社会强制造船遵守IMO对危险材料的使用。
也就是所谓的GREEN PASSPORT

这个要求很早就有了，LR去年还曾经发过一个通函，就是为了保证验船师的健康，如果船上或设备使用了石棉，验传师是有权利拒绝报验及登船的。
