Polish Register of Shipping S.A. is an independent expert institution acting on the international market, whose business is conducted for the benefit of the community.
Through the formulation of the requirements, survey and issue of the appropriate documents, PRS assists State Administrations, Underwriters and the Society's clients in ensuring the safety of people, floating objects, land undertakings, the safety of carried cargo and that of the natural environment.
PRS S.A. performs activity in many areas which may be divided into the following basic groups:
– Performing surveys for compliance with the requirements of the Society’s own rules for classification and construction and/or the requirements of the relevant international conventions as well as national regulations regarding the following:
– sea-going ships;
– inland waterways vessels, yachts and boats;
– naval craft and other special purpose objects intended for the State security and defense;
– steel structures, pipelines and industrial installations, as well as land objects;
– construction and repair of containers;
– manufacture of materials and products;
– manufacturers and service suppliers.
Certification of products for compliance with European Union directives.
Certification of management systems for compliance with international and national standards. Provision of technical expertise and advisory services.

Polish Register of Shipping China Co. Ltd. is looking for Marine Surveyor to undertake work in China areas, office Shanghai.
Job Responsibilities
- Carrying out Annual and Renewal - Class and Statutory surveys for of vessels in service and newbuildings at high standards in accordance with applicable PRS Rules and Regulations and other Codes, Standards or Conventions as directed and where applicable liaise with Flag or Port State Surveyors;
- Carrying out ISM audits as Lead auditor on ships and in shore offices;
- Carrying out ISPS audits and MLC Inspections as Lead auditor on ships;
-Carrying testing activity and certification of marine products and service suppliers;
- to report all inspections and surveys accurately, a necessary and with the required timescales;
- spending significant time dealing with clients’ technical and operational queries whilst assisting in developing and implementing relationships internally and externally to grow our business;
-Travel overseas will be required.
Job requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering;
- Previous professional experiences at least 5 years in Classification Societies (IACS) with competencies;
- Surveys of ESP ships;
- ISM, ISPS auditor, MLC inspector.
Personal skills and abilities
- Willing to travel frequently;
- Practical and theoretical knowledge of hull, machinery, materials, equipment and safety systems of ships; - Fluent in English language, both written and spoken;
- IT literate in MS Office;
- Ability to work in a team and on tight schedules;
- Ability to manage conflicts and to negotiate.
