在LNG船装卸操作中,液相臂以及气相臂与岸站装载臂连接,装卸完毕后,在船上ESD阀以及岸站装载阀之间的一段管路中会充满天然气,这时,不能直接拆除连接,必须通过有效的操作,使得这段管路中的天然气含量下降到5%一下才能拆卸。通常的做法是通过充气增压的方法来实现这样的目的的: 关闭ESD阀以及岸站装载阀,使得需要吹洗的管段处于密闭状态,然后岸站提供的氮气,冲入此段管路,待压力曾至25bar时迅速打开ESD阀,利用压力将管段中气体吹至船上,然后迅速关闭ESD阀,重复上述操作,直至管段中天然气含量达标。
但是这样的操作非常繁琐,因为ESD阀开启和关闭的速度比较慢,这样,在阀开启和关闭的过程中,管段和船上的压力平衡之后船厂的天然气又会重新回到管段中,所以,通常需要重复7~8次才能最终达标。
在增加了ESD BYPASS 后,可以保持ESD阀一直处于关闭状态,当压力升至25bar时,迅速打开BYPASS上的截止止回阀,在压力平衡后再迅速将此阀关闭。这样的操作,一来,保证了吹洗的效果,二来也减少了对ESD阀的损耗!
根据在沪东中华造船集团建造的中国第三条LNG船“闽榕”号上加装ESD BYPASS后的效果来看,相比从前,现在只需要3次充气增压操作,管段中的天然气含量便达标了,这大大的缩短了船在岸站停靠的时间,降低了船舶的运营成本,也提高了岸站的效益!
Instruction of the function of the LNG ESD BYPASS During loading and discharging in LNG CARRIER, the liquid arm and the vapor arm is connected to shore. When finished, in the pipe between ESD valve of ship and the loading valve of the terminal, there will be full of LNG vapor. It is forbidden to disconnect before the content of LNG vapor reduce bellow 5% by any operation useful. Normally we achieve it by rising the pressure and purging: keep the ESD VALVE and the loading valve closed, press the nitrogen supplied by the terminal to this section of pipe until the pressure rise to 25 bar, and then open the ESD valve quickly, and purge the gas in the pipe to ship by the pressure, then, immediately close the valve. Repeat the operation until the content of LNG vapor meet our requirement.
But this operation is very difficult, because the opening and closing of the ESD valve is very slow, so during opening and closing of the valve, the pressure in the pipe and ship poise and then the LNG vapor of the ship go back to the pipe. For this reason, normally we need to repeat the operation by 7 or 8 times.
Adding the ESD BYPASS, we can keep the ESD valve always closed, when the pressure rise to 25 bar, we just quickly open the non-return shut down valve of the BYPASS. When the pressure get balance, quickly close it. The advantage is: first it can make sure the effect; second it can decrease the damage of the ESD valve.
According to the effect of added ESD BYPASS on “MIN RONG” ship, which is the third LNG CARRIER built by HZ shipyard in China, compare with former, now we only need to repeat the pressure rising operation for 3 times, the content of LNG vapor will meet our requirement perfectly. It mostly reduces the ship’s staying time on the terminal, reduce the cost of the ship, and also improve the benefit of the terminal. |
