Construction Superintendent RESPONSIBILITY:
- Will be responsible for the overall delivery of specific areas for the designated facilities fabrication and assembly scope and load out. The designated facility will undertake multi disciplined activities in the general areas of structural, mechanical, piping and low complexity electrics and instrumentation.
- Will be responsible for providing supervisory guidance and support to the contracted facility to achieve the delivery of the facilities work scope in accordance with contractually agreed OHS, Quality, Schedule and Cost milestones. In specific instances and circumstances where the contracted facility is deficient in the delivery of agreed production outputs or levels of OHS and quality, the incumbent will be required to provide the facility management with firmer direction and solutions to achieve contractually agreed schedule, OHS or quality targets. In general, the incumbent will not direct the facilities personnel or direct the facility with work flow execution or methodology other than through specific reference to engineering and quality specifications and the programmed sequence of deliverable items via the overall EK project schedule.
- Will be responsible to interface directly with the Project Team engineering and quality control groups to ensure that the facility is correctly interpreting and executing the work to the requirements of the appropriate technical, fabrication and assembly specifications. The incumbent will be responsible for developing the required communication access to the Project team and coordinating the require information transfer between the Project Team and the designated facilities management team.
REQUIRMENTS: - 10 Years Construction Management experience with the associated focus on safety and quality; - Strong team leadership and management experience for a small team of supervisors; - Strong understanding of OHS and quality requirements related to a fabrication and assembly facility; - Commercial and contracts understanding and experience related to fabrication and assembly packages under a unit rate commercial framework; - Construction and technical knowledge related to structural, mechanical and piping fabrication and assembly and low complexity electric and instrumentation including specification and drawing interpretation skills; - Exposure to load out practice including equipment allocation; - Experience in overall planning, scheduling and sequencing of facility works for a Module and Pre-Assembly project delivery; - Experience in the development of engineering through the IFR, IFC and final detailed shop drawing development; - Exposure to logistics requirements for oversize cargo including land transportation, lifting and shipping; - knowledge of dimensional checking with preferably a welding background (weld inspection or piping background, and some knowledge in Cranes, Rigging, Heavy Lifts and Load out) would be an advantage.
