Ultimateillumination values shall be determined by applying a maintenance factor (ratioof maintained lux in service to initial lux) of 70 % to initial values to allowfor deterioration of lamps, reflectors, enclosures and painted surfaces of thecompartments. Lux levels obtained by applying the maintenance factor may rangehigher than level specified.
