拖航的时候有三根链子，位于前面以及主甲板中间。
这三根链子，在末端交合在一起，供拖船牵引。
中间的绞车用于回收整条钢缆，有的设计在左右pontoon上方，各有绞车回收分支钢缆。形成八字状。
而GM的设计似乎只有一台绞车，1的指向处，即为三条钢缆的连接三角板。

更详细地说一下：
在pontoon上的前面有很强的拖力眼板，上面拴的chain，供被拖时候用。这个之所以是chain，因为要防scarfing.
上面有个平台，平台上有个winch，这个绞车是为了回收这个chain的,2 chains用三角板连接起来。

Adjacent and below the derrick the traveling block guide rails continue to interface with an underhull guidance system. The
guidance system, consisting of a moveable trolley that can be tied into the LRP/EDP package, provides rigidity as the equipment is lowered through the splash zone.
A dedicated frame for linking the stress joint, and therefore the complete TRT/LRP/EDP package to the underhull guidance
system is made up and stabbed into the underhull guidance system via the access funnels at the drill floor level. The guidance frame can be retrieved from below the drill floor level and tracked up above the drill floor in order to engage the equipment to be deployed.

这个是underhull guide的说明而已。
的确在月亮池左右会有这个设备，也可以说不是设备，一个液压框架结构而已。
作用仅仅是对海底设备对中，扶正。这和楼主说的不一样。
