5.3.3 Passage through the collision bulkhead
a) In ships other than passenger ships, pipes piercing the
collision bulkhead below the freeboard deck are to be
fitted with suitable valves and the valve chest is to be
secured to the bulkhead inside the fore peak.
Such valves may be fitted on the after side of the collision
bulkhead provided that they are readily accessible
under all service conditions and the space in which they
are located is not a cargo space. In all cases the valves
are to be operable from above the freeboard deck.
All valves are to be of steel, bronze or other approved
ductile material. Valves of ordinary cast iron or similar
material are not acceptable.
b) On passenger ships, the passage of pipes through the
collision bulkhead is to comply with Pt D, Ch 11, Sec 2,
[2.1.4].
c) The remote operation device of the valve referred to in
a) is to include an indicator to show whether the valve is
open or shut.
5.3.3 穿过防撞舱壁的管子
a) 对于货船,除非有正当理由最多有两根管子穿过干舷甲板以下的防撞舱壁,这些管子应装有在干舷甲板以上可以操纵的适当的阀门。该阀体必须固定在艏尖舱内的舱壁上。阀也可安装在防撞舱壁的后侧,但在所有营运状态下该阀应易于接近,且其所在处所不是货物处所。所有阀应由钢质、青铜或其他认可的塑性材料制成,不能使用普通铸铁或类似材料。
