SCOPE: Indicate as appropriate size,geographic area, plant equipment, throughput, organizations served, financialresponsibility, authority, and supervision received, supervision exercised(Manpower) and activity indicators which relate to the job. Conduct QA and QC inspections visits tosuppliers, assess the vendor quality management system; management the work ofInspection agencies;
3. PRINCIPAL CONTACTS: Includepurpose, frequency and significance External: Maintains appropriate contact withmanufacturers and inspection agencies. Internal: Maintains appropriate contact withsourcing and procurement team and quality management unit of other Aramcooffices.
4. PRINCIPAL DUTIES: Describe conciselyeach principal work activity listed in a logical order; normally, the orderwill be to list the most important duty first. Start sentences with actionverbs. • Responsible,under the direction of the Quality Management Head / Group Leader, for dutiesand responsibilities under the Job Description. • PerformInspection of material for Saudi Aramco, purchased directly or throughContractor and manufactured within the Aramco area of responsibility. • Reviewmaterial and test certificates for compliance with purchase order requirements. • Responsiblefor coordinating, directing and monitoring the quality monitoring servicesprovided by contract Inspection Agencies and their inspectors. • Responsiblefor monitoring the performance of contract Inspection Agencies and theirinspectors. • Performsreview of new or revised Saudi Aramco standards in his field of expertise. • Estimationof Inspection/travel hours for inspection • AssignQualified Inspector of Inspection Agency • To ensurethat all of necessary items are confirmed at Pre-Inspection Meeting to be heldprior to the fabrication • ControlInspections throughout review of Inspection Report submitted • Takeaction on time for resolution of nonconformity or discrepancy when applicable • Toensure that all of punch items are closed out before material shipment • Toevaluate quality level of inspector performance and inspection report • Tocommunicate with the relevant parties to take action where necessary • Toattend witness inspections when necessary • Toensure completion of Vendor Quality Index for each order 5. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: A -Education - Degrees and/or licenses required; B - Prerequisite work experiencein addition to education; C – Language; D - Other. Preferredrequirements • Solid experience in Inspection (vendors, or vendors’ inspectors) • With preferred certificates (refer to the JD below) • Excellent English • Universitydegree in Mechanical / Metallurgy Engineering • Atleast 8 years' experience in the oil & gas / petrochemical / machinery /steel industry, with experience in quality assurance/quality controlengineering. • Preferredcertificates: o ISO9001 Lead Assessor o API/ ASME / CSWIP o NDTLevel-2 or 3 (UT/MT/PT/RT) • 5years experience in quality management assessment. (preferably certifiedfor QA Engineer) • Solidworking knowledge of manufacturing and/or fabrication processes. • Knowledgeof American National Codes. (ASME / ANCI / API) • Knowledgeof NDT (UT/MT/PT/RT). (Preferably certified) • Mustbe capable of handling a heavy volume of work and perform effectively and efficientlyunder pressure. • Mustbeable to communicate and comprehend accurately, clearly and concisely in Englishat a level required to perform the job as outlined. • Computerliterate and basic knowledge in ERP systems utilization. • Ableto travel both domestic and international.
