DP 分割

求教：关于海洋平台DP（dynamic positioning )问题，我有些疑问：
1。DP1， DP2， DP3 是指的什么，有什么区别
2。怎么样作DP3分割?

thx so much, but i still can not get the clear idea. could you kindly tell how DP is related to thruster. do DP influence Engine/thruster quantities??

can i understand as following??
DP1- if one thruster fail, rig can not be positioned any more
DP2- only when two thruster fail , rig can not be postioned any more
DP3- only when three thruster fail, rig can not be postioned any more. if one or two thruster fail, rig still can work
