Working Location: Shanghai Downtown Report Line: Area Manager - China Job Description 1. Set up a strong presence in local markets and connect to the maritime community. 2. Proactively identify and approach new clients and business opportunities to generate new profitable business and clients. 3. Present and introduce product portfolios to the existing and potential customers. 4. Provide technical support services and project assistance. 5. Provide expertised advice and consultancy to clients as required. 6. Coordinate and set up an effective communication channel among local clients and Friendship System Co. in company 7. Conduct trainings for clients. 8. Negotiate and close contracts with new clients. 9. Represent the company at area, regional and international exhibitions, conferences and customer events by attending and presenting selected topics. 10. Initiate and coordinate meetings and events for customer service and business promotion. 11. Perform other duties and tasks as required, commensurate with the nature of work.
Qualifications and education
University Degree in Fluid Mechanics, Mechanical Engineering, naval architecture or related field Proficient knowledge on IT, CAD and/or CFD software Experience in shipyard designing, preferably ship hydrodynamics Experience in software training, technical support and software sales an advance Good knowledge in handling of computer and Microsoft office systems Good command of technical English and business English, both oral and written Good command of Chinese for the local environment Excellent communication/negotiation skills Standing for the good technique service supplier Making a professional visualization to the customer and honest to give the comments based on technical knowledge Driving for results and managing performance Building relationships Communicating powerfully Displaying high integrity and honesty
