Region Greater China is of strategic importance to DNV. We have over 400 MI employees and are still growing. This is also a very active area from both economic and social development point of view as well as being a stable area with social security.
DNV Ningbo station is expected to be the fastest growing station in the region in years to come, which provides an opportunity to experience significant growth of business and social development as well. This station covers all Ships in Operation (SiO); Certification of Material and Component (CMC) and Newbuilding activities in Ningbo and surrounding areas including Zhoushan Archipelago.
We are now looking for 2 NB Project Managers to join the station to cope with increasing number of NB projects.
Ningbo is beautiful sea side city with 3 rivers running through. It is the most important harbor in Central China and experiencing booming economy in all sectors. Shipbuilding and repair activities have emerged since 3 years ago. Now the city herself and surrounding area becomes the biggest marine base in the nation. It takes Only 2 hour drive from Shanghai. The two major cities (Ningbo and Shanghai) are now linked closely by the world longest bridge above Hangzhou Bay with total length up to 36km. Schooling facility for International students is available in Ningbo. DNV presently have a few expatriates working in SiO and NB projects in Ningbo.
Major Duties
- NB project survey & management
- Training of junior surveyors
- Maintain co-operative relationship with the Shipyard
Qualifications
- Good communication and organizational skills, with a pro-active and positive attitude.
- VQSC CoC for newbuilding project manager.
Conditions of Employment
Commencement: As soon as Possible
Duration: 2-3 years by mutual agreement
