上海船厂是中国船舶工业集团公司（CSSC）所属的一家以造船、修船、造机为主
体，兼有海洋工程、大型钢结构、大型起重机械、船舶配件、铸段件、青铜工艺品、
盾构掘进机、压力容器、气动工具等综合生产能力的国有大型骨干企业，能建造6万吨
以下中类船舶，能制造苏尔寿和MAN B&W各种型号柴油机，能修理和改装国内外各类型
船舶及海洋平台。
Shanghai shipyard is now one of the leading enterprises subordinate
to China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC) , which concentrates on
shipbuilding, shiprepairin and marine diesel engine manufacturing. The
yard also expands its activities to offshore engineering, steel structure,
heavy lifting equipment, casting and forging, pressure vessels, machinery
and electric products, The yard has experienced abilities of constructing
vessels under 6000  dwt and was licensed to build sulzer and MAN B&W series
diesel engines of Finland and Denmark . The yard is able to undertake repair
projects for various types of vessels and offshore platforms both from abroad
and home.
