POSITION:
Procurement Project Expeditor/Purchaser
NUMBER OF VACANCIES: 2
WORKPLACE:
Taizhou, Zhejiang / Yangzhou, Jiangsu/Shanghai
REPORTS TO:
Procurement Director /Technical Expediting Manager
Responsibilities:
1.
Act as a procurement project coordinator to follow up with selected makers for on time delivery of equipments/materials for SMC newbuilding projects.
2.
Design and maintain an efficient expediting strategy to preventively identify and mitigate the potential delays of the purchased items.
3.
Submit weekly report to senior management for status updates regarding each project.
4.
Assist with import formalities of imported goods from Europe to China, closely working with trading house, forwarding company and SMC site project teams in shipyard.
Qualification:
1.
University degree or above with majors in engineering, preferably in mechanical engineering, marine engineering or naval architect.
2.
Good communication skills in English and Chinese.
3.
Basic knowledge with purchasing/procurement modules in any ERP system
4.
Able to handle multiple tasks at one time, self starter(accountable & can take own initiative), team player
5.
Preferably to have purchasing/sales experiences of equipments in marine sector.
