Electricity AC or DC as made by the battery, dynamo or generator is a voltage. The name is wrong DC should be DV and AC should be AV as the current is determined by the load. Simply a battery produces a DC voltage in a chemical process, the load determines the current.（ship knowledge）

由电池，发电机或者主机发出的直流电或者交流电都是以电压计的。由于电流式由电压决定的，所以DC应该改成DV，对应的AC应该改成AV。只不过电池通过一系列化学变化产生直流电，两端的负载决定了电流的大小。
不知道这么翻译对不对？

I think your translation into Chinese is correct.

However, the original English description was wrong in concept. Voltage is voltage, current is current.

AC或DC是由电池产电的，发电机产生的是电压，然而其被称为DC是错的应该被叫做是DV，AC也是一样应该称为AV，正如电流是由电荷所决定的，显而易见的，电池在化学过程中产生DV电压，而电荷决定电流。。。
