Kort Nozzles and Shaft Brackets
Two (2) fixed mild steel Kort nozzles, with diameter suitable for Controllable Pitch Propeller, are to be
fitted. The bottom structure of the hull in way of the nozzles will be stiffened by additional transverse
and longitudinal members. Width of the wear ring to be 25% in excess of propeller sweep width at full
pitch (weldment to be away from sweep area).
Propeller shaft brackets are to be the “Y” type, of fabricated mild steel construction, upper part of
support shaft aft bossing and lower part to prevent wires entering nozzle thus protecting propellers.
