对于那些常喝伏特加或者威士忌的北欧人来说，中国白酒的这点烈度根本是麻不倒他们的。碰巧这两个丹麦人都是这样的主，李副总已经喝得有点面红耳赤了，两人还是面不改色，那边厢李副总只好招招手，叫我们部长先上顶会。我在这边一直小心翼翼，没敢多喝，准备万一最后的时候能顶上。不料这位veronica小姐倒是豪爽之人，端着酒杯频频举杯，我跟她碰了几下，发现她还是个性情中人，在酒精作用下，veronica小姐完全没有白天会议上那副冰冷冷漠的面孔，慢慢打开了话匣子，有一搭没一句的跟我闲聊着。她对我的中文名字好象更敢兴趣，学了几遍楞是发不出＇xu＇这个音，老是＇xiu啊xiu的＇，于是我把名片给了她，她端详了半天，忽然好象明白了似的，
＂oh ,I know ,I know this sur-name , ‘xiu xian’,I know this love story ,a man falls in love with Miss Snake ,and ,oh ,let me take a think ,ya ,then a monk joined in ,then what happened to them？ .i forgot it .＂
我听到后面终于知道她说什么了，估计也不知道在哪听说了什么许仙的故事，还把法海也扯进三角恋进来了，据说有部新加坡版的＜白娘子传奇＞就是这么杜撰情节的，难道她也看了那片子？！．
虽然不置可否，但我还是很惊讶她居然这么多，于是问她，＂you once have been to China ?，it seems that you know a lot about my country.＂
＂oh no ,＂她连忙摇着头，＂this is my first time here.，and I lived in Singapore ,you know this mini-country?!, a plenty of Chinese there ,sometimes I watched this TV plays about some accient Chinese stories ,you see ,it’s funny.＂果不其然，我忽然才想起来，她是船入籍国的律师来着．倒把这给忘了．
＂yup ,it’s funny ,and sometime,it’s stupid as well.＂，我这么自我解嘲着，对于这种挖掘古人的所谓电视剧我是向来不看的，美国人历史短，所以他们总是拍摄前瞻的科幻片，而我们却总是喜欢去老祖宗那里汲取一些腐烂的养料，难怪我们没有什么创新意识，总是沉醉在过往的历史荣耀中，这个历史的包袱太重了．
她大概看出了我对这个不敢兴趣，于是转移了话题，转而问我＂are you married ?＂
＂no ,not yet.I am still single.＂
＂really?＂，她不相信的眨着眼睛，＂en ,and ,excause me ,may I know how old you are ?!＂
＂of course , 25,25 years old.＂，我只好跟她解释，＂In current China ,due to the government policy , normally we Chinese boys seldom got married before 25 ,and another big problem is ,many youngmen delayed their wedding as property price is keeping increasing so fast.
It’s a realistic and big pressure .＂
＂ah , I see .＂，她好象有点明白，＂we face the same problem in Singapore, youngmen had to work hard for years , just to get sufficient money for their wedding.＂
这个话题有点沉重了，于是我也问她＂so ,are you married?＂
Veronica小姐听了随即苦笑一下，＂yep，but divorced.＂
＂oh ,I’m sorry.＂
＂it’s okay ,never mind ,my kid was sentenced to my ex-huzband.＂她很快恢复了轻松的表情，＂now ,I am single. I have no boyfriend.en ,so you have a chance.＂
我听得有点目瞪口呆，也有点不好意思，不知道怎么回答，老外确实什么都敢说．
Veronica 看我不做声，于是看着我，呵呵笑起来：＂hey ,I’m just kidding ,you are scared ? ,are you OK ?＂
＂yep ,a little.＂我只好承认，以掩饰我的尴尬，说实话，这种幽默东方人是不太好接受的．
＂but ,we are friends from now on ,are we ?＂她调皮的朝我眨眨眼睛．
＂yah ,certainly.＂
＂well ,the feast is so boring ,we can go to have another drink after this.will you ?＂她又有新的提议，＂and my treat.＂
我只能机械地点头，＂yes ,Okay.＂ |
