Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering, the offshore arm of the Evergreen Holding Group, held a contract signing ceremony for the Moho Nord modules with Hyundai Heavy Industries Co. at its offshore fabrication base in Qidong, on the 20th of February 2014. This contract represents a major milestone for Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering, as it reinforces its focus on the offshore market. It is also significant, as it is the first time that such a subcontract for Total has been attributed to a Chinese company. The contract covers the fabrication of 2 modules for the FPU destined for the MOHO NORD field development in the Republic of Congo. The modules are scheduled for delivery in March 2015. Simon Liang, Sinopacific Offshore and Engineering’s Chairman said: “We have been improving the quality of our products and services to meet international standards. We are developing our strategic alliance with major oil companies and world leaders in the offshore field. We very much look forward to cooperating with both Hyundai Heavy Industries Co. and Total during this project.” The ceremony was attended by management representatives from both Hyundai Heavy Industries Co. and Total.
