A delegation of Olympic champions from the mainland has arrived in HongKong. The athletes received an enthusiastic welcome at the start of their three-day good will tour.
On Friday morning, a delegation of nearly 100 mainland athletes and officials arrived at HOngKong International Airport. HongKong SAR Chief Executive Donald Tsang and other high-level officials greeted them.
Liu Peng, director of the General Administration of Sport and also head of the delegation, expressed his gratitude for the warm reception, He said,"The curtain has dropped on the Beijing Olympics, At the invitation of the HongKong SAR government, 63 Olympic champions are now touring Hongkong, Thanks a lot for your warm welcome." |
