corroded and should be taken off and renewed partly.
I think it difficult to repair partly. Because, you see, the whole surface
plate of foundation is corroded seriously and the plate is too thin to be weld-
ed. So I suppose the entire plate should be replaced. What do you think
about it?
OK. Windlass brake linings are worn heavily. They can't work any more,
therefore some welding jobs will be done in the oil tank. Please renew than
before doing any work with fire.
If so, a hole need to be redrilled on the bearing to oil way.
This fore peak tank filling pipe is to be renewed.

And in fore peak tank, there are two pieces of stiff ener and brackets tobi
removed and renewed.
Can I have a look at them, now?
No, sorry, the mainhole is closed.

Rubber channel needs to be renewed and rubber packing of this panel n
placed partly. These two sections should be renewed about one meter ead
piece,    ^te         ^            ^1^
Chief, I don't think it better to renew the packing in part. Because the

aren' t elastic anymore. After renewal, a gap will appear between old pact
ing and compression bar when you close the hatch cover. If you thereto'!
want to do it, you must change all packing of one panel so that we can gel.

have to order new packing, that will spend a plenty of money I don't think
my boss will agree with us.       ?y^'

CF: All topping blocks, head blocks, running blocks and leading blocks are to be
opened up, cleaned checked and then stamped after fixing them.
R: I guess some blocks are fitted with roller bearings instead of bushes.

R: We can build them up by welding and then smooth them by sand - grinder, |
CF: Seven pieces of bulwark stay were corroded at the bottom. Please remove |
and renew them from heels up to 300mm height.                    |

R: How many shell plates should be renewed?
CF: This depends on the plate thickness measurement.
