Refrigerant Makeup System
The refrigerant components for makeup come from three sources. The nitrogen is from the barge nitrogen system. Treated feed gas is used to meet methane makeup requirements. The other components are provided from the refrigerant makeup system. The storage will be portable vessels (Isotainers) on the barge deck. Once empty, the empty container would be removed and replaced with a fully charged vessel. Flexible hoses will connect the vessels to permanent piping.
All refrigerant components are added to the inlet line of 23-V-010I, the Refrigerant Suction Drum. The refrigerant components are mixed with a small flow of hot high-pressure refrigerant vapor (sweep gas) from the compressor discharge. This vapor is bypassed directly to the inlet of the Suction Drum. Sweep gas is used to vaporize and warm ethylene and heavier components and carry them into the Refrigerant Suction Drum. Another small bypass flow from the compressor discharge may be directed into the boot on the Refrigerant Suction Drum to vaporize any residual liquid from refrigerant addition of the heavier components.
A Refrigerant Makeup Tank, 25-V-0I04, is provided for handling of any refrigerant liquid that is removed from the system. This vessel is sized to hold the contents of the liquid from one of the refrigerant vessels. This helps in conserving refrigerant during maintenance periods. Also, if there is a significant change in the system operation due to a new gas stream or environmental conditions, this tank can be used to withdraw and eventually return liquid into the system. During normal shutdown the refrigerant inventory is kept in the refrigeration loop. The PRICO® system is designed for total containment of the refrigerant during shutdown periods.
制冷剂补充系统

25-V-0104制冷剂补充罐Refrigerant Makeuo Tank用作处理从系统中去除的任何制冷剂液体。补充罐的大小能够容下所有来自任何一个制冷剂罐的液体。这将有助于在保养期间内保存制冷剂。另外,如果因为新气流或者环境因素造成系统操作重要变化,补充罐可以用来撤回和最终返还液体给系统。在正常的关闭状态下,制冷剂存货保存在制冷环路中。PRICO系统被设计为在关闭期间,保有全部的制冷剂容量。
