Heavy Hydrocarbon Removal Once the feed gas passes through the first pass of the refrigerant exchanger, it is withdrawn at a "midpoint" temperature. The two-phase stream is then sent to the Heavies Separator, 23-V-0104 where the vapor phase is directed back to the refrigerant exchanger for liquefaction. The small amount of condensed heavy hydrocarbon liquid from the bottom of the Heavies Separator is sent to the Heavies Reheat Exchangers, 23-E 0105 and 23-E-OI06. The vaporized hydrocarbons are mixed with the boil-off gas, used for regeneration gas, and subsequently consumed as fuel.
