marine 与maritime 是同义词，习惯用法上有所不同。
marine 侧重于海的... adj.  海生的；海产的；海事的 n. 海员
maritime 侧重于与海有关的  adj. 海事的；海上的。。。
例句：  He is a marine painter.    他是一位海景画家。
         maritime climate       海洋性气候

我觉得，对非母语人士来讲，好多东西真的不太容易掌握。
看外国人说汉语就知道了。
