水平walked into the butcher shop(肉铺) just before it closed. he said, "Thank Heavens, I've made it in time! Have you any chicken?" 老于opened his fridge and took out his only chicken, and plonked(扔) it onto the scale, It weighed two pounds.
"Ah, haven't you anything bigger?" 水平 inquired.
老于returned the chicken to the fridge, took it out again, and plonked it onto the scale. Only this time, he kept his thumb on the chicken, the scale showed three pounds.
"Marvelous!(太好了)" said 水平," I'll have both of them please."
then 老于 fainted.

水平走进一家马上就要关门的肉铺。
he said, "Thank Heavens, I've made it in time! Have you any chicken?"
水平说：“感谢上帝！我来的真及时！你这还有鸡肉吗？”
老于opened his fridge and took out his only chicken,
老于打开冰箱拿出仅有的一块鸡肉，
and plonked(扔) it onto the scale, It weighed two pounds.
然后把它扔到磅秤上，这块鸡肉重两磅。
"Ah, haven't you anything bigger?" 水平 inquired.
“哎！你还有更大一点的吗？”水平问。
老于returned the chicken to the fridge, took it out again,and plonked it onto the scale.
老于把鸡肉放回冰箱然后又拿了出来，又把鸡肉扔到磅秤上。

就在这时，老于把拇指放到了鸡肉上，磅秤显示3磅。

“太好了！”水平说，“请给我拿两块！”
