gangway是指水平放置或可以水平伸出的梯子，在游艇和平台用的多
ladder是指直梯和斜梯
找几个图片或说明书看看很好分别

Gangway:Bridge structure to allow safe embarkation and disembarkation from ship to shore or access to another sip.

An accommodation ladder is a portable flight of steps down a ship's side.
Accommodation ladders can be mounted parallel or rectangular to the ship's board. If the ladder is parallel to the ship, it has to have an upper platform. Upper platforms are mostly turnable. The lower platform (or the ladder itself) is hanging on a bail and can be lifted in dependence of the local needs.

gangway 是指舷梯，一般情况船上生活区左右两舷各一部舷梯，船中左右两舷还各有一部引水梯。

答复楼主：gangway 一般是搭载两船时候用的，与其他不同的是，它有动力，可旋转，不是装在
舷侧，比甲板面高很多，普通货船没有，海洋工程船用的比较多

舷梯，accommodation ladder，正确表述，或者理解为正规“书面用语”；

而，Gangway，经常被船员口头使用。
