Salvage companies normally use "floating drums" to do the job."Floating drum" is a
steel drum fitted with watertight manholes(for maintenance and repair when it is necessary),water inlet and outlet,air inlet and related valves. It is so designed and built with adequate strength for sinking to the seabed where the wreck located.
The capacity (volume) of a drum could go to 500t ,1000t,2000t,or higher.

Now, it is your turn to continue the story by using these "floating drums" as I have told you
the fitting on a drum. You might thus understand the basic operation in wreck salvage.

Go ahead, younger friends.
I will be watching on your feedback and prefer to have your writing in English.
I am still learning English though I am 71.

Senior, thank you very much for your guidance.

I heard the 'floating drum' before. The basic theory is simple. Floating drums are connected with the structure. Only if the buoyancy provided by drums is enough, structure can be lifted. The key, I think, is how to bond the drums with the structure. This is the most important and very difficult. I never see pictures or videos about this aspect. If you have the relative documents, please give us a lesson at your convenience.

About 6 years ago, I saw the video 'Kursk salvage'. The salvage process impressed me deeply, especially the adapted barge, 26 lift cables and the special umbrella clip.

For the sanjin PCTC, the trouble is that the ship has turned over to one side. At the same time, the depth of the water is relative shallow. How adjusting the ship to normal status is a huge challenge.

You do have very good command in English.
As to the questions you mentioned I would think them about at daytime. It is quite late at night now, or I am in early morning of 16th.
