Quality Assurance Manager China
Main responsibilities
-Monitor process performance
-Suggest process improvements
-Drive NCR system till corrective actions are implemented
-Evaluate effectiveness of corrective action taken.
-Actively implement
-Cooperate with Purchasing dept. on monitoring supplier quality performance
-Perform periodical supplier audits based on approved plan
-Monitor and reduce NCR cost
-Contribute in QMS development
-Make sure that internal routines and guidelines are followed within organization
-Monitor and follow-up HSE issues within the organization
-Cooperate with class societies
-Ensure development and relevant training for own staff
-Assistant relevant department for test issue
-Lead QA related projects
Accountabilities
-The Position will be measured against Key Performance Indicators relating to:
- customer complains vs. internal NCR’s
- dept. cost vs. budget
- NCR closed vs. NCR registered
Qualifications
Mandatory requirements
-Technical university level education,
-Minimum 3 years management experience
-Good knowledge and experience of manufacturing, within a Fabricating / Welding environment, preferably gained within the shipbuilding or automotive sector
-Good interpersonal skills
-Ability to lead and create project teams
-Customer focused.
-Able to read technical drawings and electric diagrams
-Qualified Quality Internal Auditor
-Fluent in English
Product Engineer
Main responsibilities
The Product Engineer is responsible for:
• Development of the business strategy for the products and concepts within the area of responsibility
• Product and concept development of the area of responsibility
• Profit optimisation for all products and services within the area of responsibility
• Design and establish the most cost effective route to market
• Responsible for the product/system approvals needed within the market
• Product marketing strategy and promotion for the area of responsibility in coordination with Sales and Technical Support
• Responsible for design, drawings and initial testing of products manufactured in internal production facility
• High level commercial and technical negotiation support
• Responsible in the capacity of solver for claims
• Ownership, marketing, implementation/launching and promotion of products and concepts which are the area of responsibility
• Product information and labeling according to national and international regulations, class requirements and other regulatory bodies, inclusive continuous updating of applicable GM’s and DM’s
• Authority to address any issue that may directly affect sales, availability and profit of the area of responsibility products and services within the organisation

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of the products and applications
• Engineering degree, Naval engineering degree. Naval officer’s degree (relevant experience may compensate for lack of formal education)

• Excellent communication skills and a very good command of the English language (oral and written)
• High level of commercial and negotiation skill
• High level of technical skills in assigned product area

Product Development Manager
Main responsibilities
The Product Development Manager is responsible for:
• Initiate possible new or improve existing product concept opportunities within BS Safety.
• Participation in technical forums with a view to inform, influence and create business opportunities for BS Safety.
• Identifying new maritime rules and regulations for new product concept opportunities within BS Safety.
• Developing of agreed new product concepts.
• Planning and performing necessary product and system tests needed for maritime acceptance.
• Obtaining relevant maritime approvals for new developed product concepts.
• Commercialising the product concepts and hand-over to product management.

Qualifications
Mandatory requirements
• Knowledge of products and systems used within the international maritime market.
• Formal education in engineering degree, naval engineering degree (relevant experience may compensate for lack of formal education).
• Good command over the English language, oral as well as written.
• Minimum of 3 years experience within Wilhelmsen or a similar maritime organisation.
• Strong, structured personality.
• Work well in a project team environment and able to work independently.
• Computer skills.

• Broad based overall technical knowledge and commercial knowledge and understanding.
• Merchant marine experience.
Project Engineer
Main responsibilities
• Responsible for execution of projects assigned by E&D Manager for the area.
• Responsible for direct communication with Area Contract Management and Senior Project Engineer, Discipline leader.
• Responsible for fulfilling assigned duties within agreed time frame.
• Responsible for the project approval by relevant class/authority society.
• Responsible for having a general knowledge of, and keep updated on all internal and external references.
• Responsible for taking action and follow up on any change orders or variations in scope of the work.
• Coordinate all technical communication with Area Contract Management or on behalf of Area Contract Manager.

• Diploma or Degree in Marine/Mechanical/Electrical/Offshore Engineering
• Minimum 3~5 years relevant experience or from shipyard design office

• Good knowledge on the use of common IT tools
• Able to meet deadlines through good time management and allocation of priorities
• Self-motivated, high energy, possess initiative, responsible and proactive
• Team oriented and able to work independently
• Willing to travel when needed
• An outgoing personality with good communication and people skills at all levels
• Possess Class 3 Driving Licence
