duct propeller of lifeboat engine

DEARS,

it is permitted to paint the duct of the fully-enclosed lifeboat engine propeller simply in order to slow down its deterioration due to exposed to weather though galvanized with a layer of zinc coat, or it is completely in the discretion of shipowner or manager and without any relative requirements or regualtions to it.
