Main Responsibilities The Regional Manager will have responsibility for the delivery of designated projects from start up through to acceptance. Primary duties include: - Assuring the technical quality of the services undertaken within the region.
- Monitoring the financial and technical performance of projects, including the control of overheads.
- Preparation of monthly business reports in accordance with the Managing Director's requirements.
- Liaising with customers and suppliers to ensure that projects meet the client’s contractual requirements.
- Maintain and improve the business processes within the ISO quality accreditation for XXX China.
- Resource management of staff and contractors, and management supervision of operational and administration staff.
- Arranging and allocating appropriate funds to XXX China office and site offices.
- Acting as an acknowledged expert with regard to shipbuilding within the Engineering Group, providing services to both internal and external clients.
- Assisting the Managing Director with staff performance reviews and providing guidance to office and site staff.
- Assisting the Managing Director in the development and marketing of XXX services within China and the Asia region.
- Preparation of annual operating budgets for XXX China.
- Sales, Marketing and preparation of proposals.
- Ensuring that the strategic objectives set out in the XXX China business plan are achieved.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Chartered Engineer/Chartered Marine Engineer
- Class II Motor Certificate of Competency
- Member of Professional Institute
- Member Chartered Management Institute
- MBA in General Management
- Management training or post graduate business qualification
- Extensive ship operating experience
