Senior Account Manager
As a leading global provider of spatial information management (SIM) software, our client fuses spatial capabilities to security, helping some of the world’s largest government, military, and industrial organizations in more than 60 countries better manage their operations and safeguard their infrastructure.
For the business requirements in Greater China, they are currently seeking a Senior Account Manager (Marine). The position will be based in Shanghai or Beijing and will report to the General Manager. The person will be responsible for the development and growth of sales for existing accounts and developing new opportunities and prospects and convert them into new sales / accounts.
Position Summary
Key Areas of Contribution
• Major contribution to the companies’ revenue and income in line with its growth strategies in the Marine industry.
• Responsible for the development and growth of sales for existing accounts.
• Develop new opportunities and prospects and convert them into new sales / accounts.
Specific Accountabilities
• Selling of integrated engineering solutions for use throughout the life cycle to Ship builders , Ship owners , Ship Design Institutes ,Classification societies , Engineering / Construction companies ( EPC) and Owner / Operator organizations in the off shore industry .
• Sound knowledge about Intergraph solutions and how they applied beneficial to customer businesses
• Met / exceed sales targets for assigned sales territory
• Work with limited supervision according to agreed account strategies
• Engages business consultants and technical people effectively in the sales process
Qualifications for the Position
Education and Experience
• About 5 years experience as an account manager in the China Marine industry with a solutions provider similar to Intergraph ( examples : Ship and off shore design and engineering solutions , Supply Chain solutions , Engineering Information / knowledge management solutions , etc )
• Show a track record of successful solution selling in the Marine industry. ( Creation of major deals including structuring of contracts )
• Understands and applied selling techniques to senior management level
• Familiar with long sales cycle requirements and approaches and applied successfully
• Knowledgeable about who is who , trends and outlook in the Marine industry and its market in China
Personal Qualities
• Good English and Chinese communication skills both in written and verbal form.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• Results driven.
• Strategic thinker and able to attend to tactical details.
• Highly motivated, flexible, self managed and get things done.
• Like to work in a team and understand team selling techniques.
