Project Engineer - China
Responsibilities:
Project Engineer for shaft alignment analysis and mechanical engineering
Perform delivery of all technical activities on assigned projects.
Plans, schedules, conducts and coordinates assigned engineering work; ensure work are comply to accepted engineering practices and standards.
Ensures effective communication and coordination on assigned projects between all disciplines and all other project participants.
Accountable for the successful completion of engineering projects on time and preferably exceed customer expectation
Requires extensive regular contact with assigned project Clients
Assists in the preparation of engineering project proposals
Participating in Client/contractor meetings and resolving Client/engineering and management project issues.
Shaft alignment Analysis and trouble shooting case
Shaft torsional vibration, whirling and axial vibration analysis
FE analysis for mechanical components
Perform other duties and tasks as required, commensurate with the nature of work.
Requirements:
M. S./B.S. Naval architecture or Mechanical Engineering
Work experience in design house, shipyard or classification society
Experience in mechanical engineering work with knowledge in vibration, measurement, strength, FEA etc.
Experience in shaft alignment analysis and trouble shooting case
Knowledge and experience in newbuilding or conversion projects for container, bulker carrier, tanker, and preferably also offshore structures.
Fluent oral and written English
