Position: General Discipline Lead Engineer Report to: GeneralManager Location: Shanghai, China Education: l Naval Architect Language: Fluentoral and written skills in Chinese and English Professionalexperience: l Minimum 5 years of experience from the field of marine and/or offshore industries, preferably in internationalprojects with multicultural needs. l Good understanding of vessel elements (GA, midship,lightweight, loading cases, stability, hydrodynamics) and their relations witheach other. l Experience with Napa or other stability programs isadvantage as well as Classification societies calculation tools lik VeriStar(BV), ShipRight (LR) l Experience from bulk carrier and tanker design(containers) l Experience from 3D design of own discipline (Tribon,Tribon M3 Outfitting) l Understanding and experience ofconcept/basic/detail/production design of differentdisciplines (outfitting, hull, machinery, HVAC, electrical & automation) l Ability to prepare loading manuals and stabilitycalculations l General level understanding of FE modelling and FEanalysis principles l Knowledge of CSR (Common Structural Rules) l Strong troubleshooting skills in technical issues anda good ability of technical support for project managementand sales activities in the target markets. l Good skills in team working, presenting technicalissues and negotiating with Foreign and Chinese customers. l A wide contact network to yard, design partner and owner/operator clients as well as class societies in China are beneficial. |
