Our client is the world largest manufacturer of communication equipment for the Inmarsat satellite system. They provide solutions for both maritime, land mobile and aeronautical use.
Position: Key Account Manager, Maritime for Greater China
Location: Shanghai
Reporting to: VP of Sales NEA
Responsibilities: · Overall responsibility for the sales of advanced satellite and radio communication products in the Greater China market. · Leading a team of 3 people · Achieving growth based on company targets · Managing sales channels · Lobbying company products to high level customers (especially Chinese ship owners such as COSCO and China Shipping) · Gather and analyze market intelligence · Marketing activities · Forecasting sales and submitting monthly reports
Language: Native Chinese and good English skills. Other Asian languages would be an advantage.
Education: University degree, preferably in Business, Electronics engineering or similar.
Professional experience: · Minimum of 5 years’ relevant professional experience within the maritime industry. · Knowledge of IP technologies and previous experience from maritime communications would be an advantage. · Sales management experience including channel management. · Proven track record in successful sales within maritime industry. · Proven experience in developing new business. · Experience from marketing and business intelligence · Proven experience in building B2B relationships at high management level within the ship owning community. · Ability to network and build up relationships with people inside and outside of the company. · Previous employment experience within a major Chinese ship owner would be an advantage.
